Vagahau Niue Language Week 2015

Fakalofa lahi atu kia mutolu oti!

There are many families at Te Papapa School who have Niuean heritage, including 19 learners and seven members of staff.  We have gathered resources to support teaching and learning during Niuean Language Week 2015.  The focus for the week is to use Vagahau Niue in our school community.

Of course you must always remember your school values:

3MS Niue Language Week

Our Niue Language Week celebrations will begin on Monday with liogi (prayer), our Niue National Anthem and the raising of the flag during our school karakia and daily notices.  Our Niuean Cultural Leaders Michelle Samuels and Demitrias Eder will lead Niue Language Week assembly at 2.15 pm in the school hall on Monday.  During break times all week Michelle, Demitrias, Mrs Tongalea and Mrs Britten will run fun sporting events loved by the Niue community.  On Friday at 2.15 pm we will close our weekly celebrations with the inaugural Niue Language Week House vs House Niu E competition.

Ki a monuina fanau – have an amazing Vagahau Niue Language Week.
